Osso Buco

Tucked away on 23 Church St in the heart of Weybridge, Osso Buco brings a taste of authentic Italian dining that’s both elegant and soul-warming. The name might instantly evoke images of slow-braised veal shanks and rich, comforting flavors - and rightly so - but there's much more to this gem than the classic dish it's named after.

Step into Osso Buco and you’re immediately enveloped by a vibe that balances upscale Italian charm with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where locals gather for long lunches, romantic dinners, or solo escapes with a glass of wine and a plate of something handmade and heavenly. Accessibility is thoughtfully taken care of too, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, seating, and restrooms - an inclusive touch that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Now let’s talk food - because Osso Buco isn’t just a name, it’s a promise. Their signature Osso Bucco is exactly what you’d hope for: melt-in-your-mouth tender, simmered with aromatic herbs and paired with a saffron-infused risotto or buttery mash. It’s hearty, rustic, and impossible not to finish.

But the menu is far from one-note. Starters like the Carpaccio - paper-thin slices of beef topped with peppery rocket and shaved parmesan - deliver delicate sophistication, while the Burrata, creamy and fresh, lands on the table like a piece of edible art. If you're a fan of seafood, Fritto Misto and Branzino are crowd-pleasers - lightly fried or grilled just right, with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of sea salt that makes the flavor sing.

For pasta lovers, Osso Buco doesn’t hold back. The Pappardelle with Duck Ragu is a standout - rich, savory, with ribbons of pasta soaking up all that goodness. Their Ravioli, often filled with seasonal surprises, and Gnocchi, pillowy and dreamy, will have you debating whether to share or keep it all to yourself.

And what’s a true Italian dining experience without something sweet? Their Tiramisù is everything it should be - light, creamy, with just the right kick of espresso. But don’t overlook the Crème Brûlée, which puts a Mediterranean twist on a French classic, or the Biscoff Cheesecake, which feels like a hug in dessert form. Want something refreshing? Their Virgin Mojito makes for a great non-alcoholic option that doesn’t skimp on flavor.

Drinks-wise, Osso Buco boasts an impressive wine list - clearly curated by someone who knows their reds from their rosés. Whether you’re going for a full-bodied Tuscan Chianti or a crisp Pinot Grigio, there’s a perfect pour for every plate. Beer, cocktails, spirits - it’s all here, along with great coffee that wraps up your meal on a warm note.

The restaurant also caters well to those with lighter appetites or dietary preferences. Their vegetarian dishes, healthy small plates, and flexible menu options make it easy to mix and match - ideal for anyone watching what they eat without sacrificing flavor.

And don’t worry about missing out on atmosphere. With outdoor seating available, warm evenings are made for al fresco dining under string lights, while inside, the ambience stays relaxed yet refined. It’s also worth noting that Osso Buco skips the takeaway and delivery trend - it’s dine-in only, and that’s intentional. This is a place that invites you to slow down, sip your wine, and enjoy the moment.

Whether you're looking for a new lunch spot in Weybridge, planning a date night destination, or just craving an authentic Italian experience that goes beyond the basics, Osso Buco delivers - in flavor, vibe, and everything in between.

New to weybridge and walked down the high street and stopped to view menu and decided to give lunch a try. So pleased we did as the food was exceptional. My husband had chicken milanese and I had pasta alla norma, it is my favourite pasta dish and this was the best I have ever tasted! I would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.Our compliments to the chef.

We had celebrated two family occasions with 8 people including 2 kids in the last two years there and both times had a fantastic time, delicious meals and very friendly and professional staff. The only downside is that it can get quite loud in the evening so you have to shout across the table but during the day it was extremely pleasant. Highly recommend!

Review: I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The lasagna was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked—definitely the highlight of my meal. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. However, the Limoncello Spritz and Passion Fruit Spritz were disappointing, as they were too watery and lacked the expected punch. The tiramisù also didn’t live up to my expectations, which was a letdown. Despite these drawbacks, I’d still return just for the amazing lasagna. If they improve their drinks and desserts, this place could be fantastic!

Lovely experience with traditional and tasty food supported by wonderful friendly staff. The only complaint is that due to the furnishings, it gets very loud inside, verging on having to shout to speak with each other. If they put some soft furnishings up, it'll make the experience better for all diners. Prices were quite reasonable and the n'duja pasta was amazing. Would recommend!
